Facilities
Our retreat is situated on a beautiful farm surrounded by nature in Charles City County. Our farm house is being renovated to serve as our Farm Store and school house for our youth at the Guardian Academy. Veterans and families will stay at campsites, and eventually cabins, on our beautiful woodland farm. We have an abundance of outdoor areas for rest and relaxation, along with opportunities for hands-on, immersive exploration and fun. Our farm provides a unique opportunity to learn about agriculture, construction, husbandry, stewardship, nature and so much more.
Activities
We offer a variety of activities that cater to different interests. Our unique location - near the banks of the Chickahominy River, just a short drive to Richmond or Williamsburg - allows us to offer a plethora of activities for fun, education, family bonding and personal healing. Stay tuned for details on all of the wonderful activities we will offer at The Guardian Retreat!

FAQ
What is The Guardian Retreat?
The Guardian Retreat is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to help veterans and families achieve a healthy, productive and fulfilling life. We have three parts to our retreat - The Retreat, The Academy and The Pizza Farm. The Retreat offers veterans and families an escape from the stresses of daily life through agricultural and construction programs, structured mental wellness retreats and family connection retreats.
The Academy is a retreat for the young members of our families. It is an opportunity for youth to unplug and recenter their souls by learning to put their minds and bodies to work in a natural environment. We offer a variety of classes and activities with a hands-on learning approach.
The Pizza Farm is how we fund the retreat. We open the farm seasonally to the general public for pizza nights and other special events to raise money for our mission.
